How to fix ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED: The server could not be found in Chrome and Firefox

I will show you how to fix ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED: The server could not be found in Chrome and Firefox in 3 steps (kind of).

If you didn't understand any particular step properly, there is a video below.

For me, this error has occurred multiple time automatically, and this is the solution I used every single time.

How to fix ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED: The server could not be found in Chrome and Firefox

To fix the ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED Error here are the steps:

Step 1: Open Command Prompt - Go to the Windows search bar and type in "cmd" and right click it and click on "Run as administrator".

Step 2: Type this in the Command Prompt window- netsh winsock reset

Step 3: Click Enter.

~Now Restart your PC and you are good to go is what I would like to say, but just for a guaranteed fix I would suggest you delete the temporary waste files

Now to delete the temporary waste files you need to:

Step 3.1: Open Run (hold Windows Key+ R)

Step 3.2: Type in the box "temp" and click enter.

Step 3.3: It might ask you the administration permission, accept it and continue.

Step 3.4: Delete everything in the folder.

Step 3.5: Again open Run (hold Windows Key+ R)

Step 3.6: Type in the box "%temp%" and click enter.

Step 3.7: It might ask you the administration permission, accept it and continue.

Step 3.8: Again delete everything in the folder.

NOW RESTART YOUR PC, AND THE ERROR SHOULD BE SOLVED :)
